Charles Streit, MD FACS
Dr. Charles Streit received his medical degree from Creighton School of Medicine in Omaha, NB and his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. After medical school, Dr. Streit completed his internship and residency in Urology at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, CA. While serving as a Commander in the United States Navy, he obtained additional training in Genitourinary Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington D.C.
Dr. Streit has served as the President of Orange County Urologic Society. He has also served on the Board of Directors for both the Orange County Medical Association and Placentia Linda Hospital. Dr. Streit received the prestigious award of “Top Doctors in America” for seven years in a row (2003-2010) and was named one of “America’s Top Urologists” from 2008 through 2010.
Currently, Dr. Streit is on the staff of St. Jude Medical Center and Placentia Linda Hospital.
Alan Weinberg, MD FACS
Dr. Alan Weinberg graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in North Carolina in 1977. He graduated from the University of Virginia for medical school in 1981 and moved to California for his surgical residency training in Urology at the University of Southern California. He completed his residency in 1986, serving the final year as Chief Resident for the urology program at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Weinberg has been the recipient of multiple awards including “Top Doctors in America” between 2003 and 2008, “Physician of Excellence” from Orange County Medical Association and Orange Coast Magazine award in 2005 and 2007, and "Top Doctors" in Orange Coast Magazine 2011. He was named in “Top Urologists in America” in 2007 and 2008.
Dr. Weinberg is a certified da Vinci robotic surgeon. He has published many research articles both in peer-review journals and textbooks, primarily in the field of continent urinary diversion. Currently, in addition to his busy private practice, he speaks nationally on the subject of controlling cost in the medical environment.
Michael Gazzaniga, MD FACS
Dr. Michael Gazzaniga is a native Southern Californian. He attended medical school at Dartmouth Medical in Hanover, New Hampshire. In 1996, he returned to California and completed his residency in Urology at UC Irvine Medical Center. He then served as a clinical instructor for residents in training at UCI.
Dr. Gazzaniga has been the recipient of the "Physician of Excellence" awarded by the Orange County Medical Association and "Top Doctors" for 2011 in Orange Coast Magazine. He has published articles on topics which include laparoscopic surgery. He has served as Chief of Surgery at St Jude Medical Center. He belongs to the Orange County Urological Society and is a member of the AMA. He is also a delegate to the California Medical Association. He has volunteered multiple hours through the St Jude outreach program and Access OC which provides free surgical care to the uninsured.
Dr. Gazzaniga has done many lectures throughout Orange County and nationally on topics which include Robotic Surgery and neuromodulation of urological disorders. He has traveled throughout the United States as an instructor teaching other surgeons surgical techniques in neuormodulation (Interstim). Currently he is the director of St Jude Medical Center's urologic oncology program and is active in clinical trials.
